Cuban-American receives highest distinctions Granted by the Republican Senate

Washington DC. October 24, 2008. Unanimously approved by the National Republican Senate Committee, Dr. Cesar Alarcon was granted the “American Spirit Medal” formerly known as the “Medal of Freedom”.

This high distinction received by Dr. Alarcon has been previously delivered by the Senate to such recognized personalities as former President Ronald Reagan, the former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher, Charlton Heston and General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, among others, who are distinguished by maintaining a high commitment to conservative principles, individual freedom, constitutional liberty, limited role of the federal government, defense and security of the nation.

 
Will Obama suffer from the 'Bradley effect'?

The Bradley effect is named after former Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley, an African-American who ran for California governor in 1982. Exit polls showed Bradley leading by a wide margin, and the Democrat thought it would be an early election night.
But Bradley and the polls were wrong. He lost to Republican George Deukmejian.

 
House Defeats Wall Street Bailout Bill

But many lawmakers continued to oppose the plan for a variety of reasons, including the massive price tag that would expand the national debt, and GOP members said constituents were calling 10-1 in opposition to the bill, which had been described as too much government intervention. Of 235 Democrats, 141 supported the legislation, representing only the 60 % of approval. Of 199 Republicans, 132 opposed it, representing the 34 % of approval only. The total percent of approval in the House was only 47% means that more than the half of the camera disapproved the bill.

Leading the small group Commander Huber Matos, was accompanied by César Alarcón representing the Cuban Movement for a Unified democracy, S.O.S Justice and the Cuban Pro Human Rights Committee, professor Francisco Condis, Secretary of International Relations of Independent and Democratic Cuba, and Lic. Luis Tornés Aguililla representing the Cuban Social-Democratic Party in France.
 
ISHR Conference: Eng. César Alarcón is requesting the union all cubans and to use an effective method of fight against the communism.

The permanence of the totalitarian system in Cuba, in spite of the numerous adverse prognoses to the same, is a reality that forces one to reanalyze the procedures and efforts of this fight. Therefore MCUD and SOS Justice believe that it is fundamental, and an ethical obligation to study this phenomenon, to expose the truth and to use it to understand exactly the operative nature of the criminal regime that we face.
